Funded by the European Union and coordinated by ProAkademia, the project unites leading European scientists and industry partners to pioneer sustainable, health-oriented innovations.   ![4Sir2-GroupPhoto](https://betterorganisations.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/4Sir2-GroupPhoto.jpg?width=1600&height=1204&name=4Sir2-GroupPhoto.jpg) Consortium Partners at the kick-off meeting of 4Sir2 on 11 September 2025.     The *4Sir2 project* aims to develop a functional beverage specifically designed for children with obesity, using grape or apple juice as a base and enriched with bioactive compounds from grape-processing by-products, such as resveratrol. These compounds have been shown to activate sirtuin genes involved in metabolic regulation, providing a scientifically grounded approach to preventing childhood obesity.   Beyond its nutritional benefits, the project will introduce innovative and sustainable processes in grape cultivation, processing, and beverage production, creating a natural, affordable, and minimally processed alternative to existing functional drinks.   ![4Sir2-conference](https://betterorganisations.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/4Sir2-conference.jpg?width=1600&height=1066&name=4Sir2-conference.jpg) Ewa Kochańska, President of Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia (coordinator), opens the kick-off meeting of 4Sir2.   Better Organisations will lead the work on **implementing an [Industry 5.0](https://betterorganisations.co.uk/industry-5.0) approach** for *4Sir2* project.
